How to Check the Granite Quality

Granite has high compressive strength and good physical and chemical properties, and is easy to process. In recent years, the scope of application of granite has become wider and wider, and it plays an important role in people's lives.But how to distinguish the quality of granite, here are several ways to identify it. 

Drop a small drop of ink (water is also ok）on the back of the granite. If the ink quickly disperses and leaches, it indicates that the particles inside the stone are loose or there are gaps, and the quality of the stone is not good; if the ink drops stay in place, the stone is of good texture. Relevant people suggest that consumers should be cautious in using red and brown series of granite when purchasing. Try not to buy granites from "mobile booths", because many of them are dyed, and there is a problem with the hygiene and safety of the paint. When choosing at the scene, there are three methods of seeing, hearing, and dripping ink. 

Eye view: Good-quality stone has a delicate texture,poor-quality stone has a poor appearance.

Hearing: The percussion sound of good quality granite is crisp and pleasant; if there are slight cracks in the stone or the contact between the particles becomes loose due to weathering, the percussion sound will be rough.
