How often should the stone be maintained? This seemingly simple question is actually not that simple. Because the wear degree of stone is affected by many factors:
1. Type of stone
Stone is divided into natural stone and artificial stone. There are thousands of natural stone, mainly divided into marble and granite.
Different materials of stone have different effects. Generally speaking, hard stone has better wear resistance, and soft stone has poor wear resistance.
2. Traffic
The greater the traffic, the faster the wear of the stone.
3. Location of use
Because the stone is used in different areas, the degree of wear of the crystalline layer is different. Taking a hotel as an example, due to the large flow of people at the entrance of the lobby, elevators and other places, the stone wears out quickly.
4. Surroundings
If there is a construction site around or near the road, the dust and sand will make the stone wear faster.
5. Protection facility
Whether various functional floor mats are provided at the door, main passage and other positions. If there is no auxiliary dust-proof mat at the door, dust and sand will enter the room recklessly, causing the stone to be easily scratched.
6. Stone base gloss
Stone gloss is the gloss achieved by grinding, not the brightness achieved by chemical polishing. If the crystalline layer is built on a higher "base gloss", the gloss will last longer.
7. Crystalline material
The quality of crystalline materials of different brands is different.
Therefore, when formulating a stone maintenance plan, the above factors must be combined, and corresponding adjustments should be made according to different situations. According to years of research, when the gloss of marble and artificial stone drops to 50 degrees, crystallization maintenance is required, and once it drops below 30 degrees, it needs to be refurbished. When the gloss of granite drops to 60 degrees, it needs to do crystal maintenance, and once it drops below 50 degrees, it needs to be refurbished.
