The carved stone statue of Fuxi Cliff, about 70.5 meters high and 230 meters long, is the largest mountain head statue in China. The eyes are 9 meters long, 2 meters high, the nose is 18 meters long, and 9 meters wide. One nostril can accommodate more than ten people. The statue was designed by the famous domestic sculptor Nie Chengxing and completed at a cost of 250 million yuan.

What's more surprising is that before the construction of the Fuxi Cliff Carved Stone Statue, it was an abandoned quarry and the surrounding natural environment was also very bad. Beginning in 2014, after processing, the Fuxi Cliff Stone Statues have been gradually carved out. As the sun sets, the sun shines on the mountain statue, and the statue’s facial expressions are vividly portrayed.

Why is the statue of Fuxi carved? This starts with the history of Xiangyang in China. Fuxi is the head of the Three Emperors and the ancestor of humanities in Chinese legends. According to historical records, during the Eastern Han Dynasty, the "Emperor Century" recorded that Fuxi's southern Tibetan county, which is now the territory of Xiangyang, Hubei.

Since the completion of the construction of this statue, it is open to tourists for free, in order to attract more tourists to recognize this statue. The designer said: "Leshan is prosperous for tourism because of the Big Buddha, and the huge Fuxi stone carvings will also become a new highlight of Xiangyang cultural tourism."
