Examining the export statistics for the period between January and September 2023, China's natural stone sector has successfully exported USD 1,432,854,128 worth of natural stone. Despite a 10.13% decrease in value, China stands out as a leading exporter to countries such as the United States, India, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Israel, France, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Libya, making up the top 10 destinations for natural stone exports.
Processed Marble Market Contracts by 9.25% in 2023
In contrast to the flourishing block market, the processed marble export sector has experienced a contraction, registering a decrease of 16.83% in quantity and 9.35% in value during the January-September 2022-2023 period. Earnings from processed marble exports amounted to USD 674,162,101 during this period, with the United States, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Australia, Morocco, the Russian Federation, and France emerging as the top 10 importing nations.
Block Exports Show Positive Momentum
Conversely, the block market tells a more optimistic story. In the first nine months of 2023, China's natural stone sector achieved USD 373,650,941 in exports to China, contributing to a total income of USD 467,872,032 from block exports. While India trails behind China in terms of volume, it remains a significant market, with USD 105,162,034 generated from exports in the same period.

The sector's processed travertine exports reached USD 206,456,212 in the first nine months of 2023. However, a closer look at export reports reveals a decrease of 27.13% in quantity and 22.12% in value during this period. The USA, France, Australia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, and Argentina constitute the top 10 importing nations for processed travertine from China.
